- QIs Polaroid Prep compatible with both Windows and Mac?

Polaroid Prep is currently compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10. It will be compatible with Mac OS from 6th June 2016.
- QI am trying to change my filament but the nozzle is not warming to allow the current material to retract.

Please turn off the printer using the power switch on the back of the machine, wait for 30 seconds and then turn back on. Please then wait a further 10 seconds after the Main Menu is displayed on the LCD before selecting ‘Change Filament’. The nozzle should now heat and allow you to retract successfully.
- QI am trying to change my filament but the nozzle is not warming when I try to extrude the new filament.

Please turn off the printer using the power switch on the back of the machine, wait for 30 seconds and then turn back on. Please then wait a further 10 seconds after the Main Menu is displayed on the LCD before selecting ‘Change Filament’. The nozzle should now heat and allow you to load and successfully extrude.
- QThe LCD screen is displaying the message ‘No model found’ when reading from the SD card even though there are models saved on the card.

Please turn off the printer using the power switch on the back of the machine, wait for 30 seconds and then turn back on. Please then wait a further 10 seconds after the Main Menu is displayed on the LCD before selecting ‘Print’. The models should now be displaying correctly.
- QAfter cancelling a print, I have selected ‘Settings’ from the Main Menu but the screen is not loading successfully.

Please turn off the printer using the power switch on the back of the machine, wait for 30 seconds and then turn back on. Please then wait a further 10 seconds after the Main Menu is displayed on the LCD before selecting ‘Settings’. The Settings screen should now load successfully.
- QMy print has completed but the bed has not lowered and the LCD screen is still showing the progress bar and not ‘Print completed’.

Please select ‘Cancel Print’ and then ‘Yes’ to confirm and this will lower the bed and revert the LCD screen to the main menu.
- QI have selected my model to print via the LCD screen but the printer is not printing.

Please turn off the printer using the power switch on the back of the machine, wait for 30 seconds and then turn back on. Please then wait a further 10 seconds after the Main Menu is displayed on the LCD before selecting any button. Please then re-select your model and the printer should now print successfully.
- QWhen using Windows 10 some aspects of Polaroid Prep don’t seem to be displaying correctly.

This may be due to an incompatibility with your machine’s graphics card. Although some aspects may not be displaying correctly, all the features of Polaroid Prep should function correctly.
- QI’m using Windows 8 and trying to Save my Scene in Polaroid Prep but it isn’t working.

Please ensure you are using the most up-to-date version of Polaroid Prep by connecting your printer to your computer and clicking on the Software Update Available notification located at the top right of the Software. If you do have the latest version installed and are still having this challenge please contact the Polaroid team by submitted your query at www.howpolaroidareyou.com/contact and selecting Technical Support from the Subject drop down.
- QI am clicking ‘Filament’ in Polaroid Prep but it is displaying ‘Cartridge Not Detected’ even though I have a cartridge installed.

Please detach your cartridge, wait for 5 seconds and then reattach. A ‘New Cartridge’ message will appear on the LCD, please select ‘OK’. Clicking ‘Filament’ in Polaroid Prep should now display the correct information.
- QI have set my model to print in the centre of the bed via Polaroid Prep but it is actually printing slightly off centre.

You may notice that your model is printing slightly off centre by approximately 15mm. This is normal and does not prevent you from printing a maximum model size of 250mm (w) x 150mm (d).
- QI am printing with wood but cannot change my settings for layer height or speed in Polaroid Prep.

As wood is a specialist material, the layer height and speed settings have been set at the optimum values to enable best quality wood printing. All other Advanced Settings can still be adjusted accordingly.
